If my memory serves me correctly, Eddie Dees stayed in Ronald Road in Durban, not far from where I stayed at 91 Ronald Road. He became a Jockey.

There is plenty of History on this site but go to a good public library and look for Durban History books.

The John Banks in the back row looks very much like the guy that I worked with at Natal Motor Industries Truck Division in 1972. John was very interested in Harley Davidson motorcycles and I remember selling a spare SU carburettor that I had to him for a rebuild he was doing. Does anybody know of John’s subsequent history?
Carly Banks
Hi there Frank, I saw your comment and thought I’d respond, I’m John’s daughter. He moved to Cape Town and spent his time there and worked in the sales and oil industry. He unfortunately passed 2 years ago.

Hi Carly, thank you so much for posting a reply. I got on very well with your Dad, and remember happy times spent chatting. I have a hazy memory of a girl named Viv who was linked to him. So sorry that he has passed but hope he had a happy and successful life. Kind regards from Frank.
