I cannot say I know Burne Grove but checked to it being in the 1938 Directory. Yes it is listed and shows only 5 street numbers allocated. Nos 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10. It must be a short road with houses on one side only. In the 1968 directory it appears No. 10 was subdivided as there is now a No. 10a. I then checked my Origin of Durban Street names but Burne Grove is not listed. However it would appear that in many instances Durban road names were derived from old families who lived in them. Notable ones in Durban are Moore, Clark, Davenport, Brand and McDonald Roads.
