Facts About Durban
Posted: 13 September 2012
These pictures were sent in by Trevor Friend. They were taken by his father on the occasion of the visit to Durban of the BOAC Super VC10 (G-ASGB) aircraft in January 1965. The aircraft was on trials in South Africa and made a fleeting visit to Durban in that time. Trevor's memories of the occasion are here and there is also a contribution from Maurice Ungless who was a member of the aircraft's crew.
Pictures all copyright Trevor Friend.
